Soccer and Outside Fun

Aubrey has begun her first year of soccer and she LOVES it! I think she may even like it better than ballet(which kinda breaks my heart). No, I am thrilled she loves soccer, I wish I had played when I was younger. She is doing great especially now that she is learning to be more aggressive. In her last game she scored 4 goals. I was so proud of her! Eli isn't actually playing this year because he is not old enough but he played on Aubrey's team in her last game because it was Easter weekend and several kids were out of town. I was quite impressed with him. I thought he might run in the wrong direction or sit on the field picking flowers but he got in there and dribbled the ball down the field a couple times and stopped the ball a couple times. He kept up with the big kids and made us very proud! Yay! I'm a soccer mom! Also, we have been enjoying this beautiful weather by playing outside almost everyday and riding bikes in the cul-de-sac with our neighbors. The kids love it!

Charles Connor and Easter

I have not updated the blog in a while because I have been busy taking care of four sweet children, one of which is a newborn. Charles Connor Dewald came 6 weeks early and surprised and scared us all. March 8 was a Thursday and that morning I had gone to the doctor for a normal checkup and the doctor told me everything looked great. Connor would probably be my biggest baby and reminded me of my scheduled c-section for April 10. I came home, ate lunch and then went to check the mail and as I walking to the mail box, I thought I felt my water break. I come inside only to realize that it was not my water but I was bleeding. I was scared to death. I called my doctor right away and she said go straight to Labor and Delivery at the hospital. I ended up having an emergency c-section and they realized that my placenta had begun to separate. Thankfully, Connor was Ok, he spent 5 days in NICU and then came home. He is growing great now and I have recovered well. I am so thankful that my little man was OK, what could have been a disastrous situation, turned out to have a happy ending and Connor is another sweet blessing that the Lord has allowed us to care for! He weighed 5 lbs and 12 oz at birth and ended up being a tiny 5 lbs and 5 oz before we left the hospital but he is now close to 7 lbs! Caring for a preemie baby is definitely different but I sure love being a mother and taking care of all these sweet babies. I love how Aubrey, Eli and Ava have adapted so well to another sibling and how they can love him too much sometimes! Here are some pictures of Connor and some cute Easter pics.
