Christmas Morning at the Dewalds

Saturday, December 19th was our Christmas morning. The kids were so excited that it took them forever to fall asleep the night before and then Aubrey woke us all up at 5:45 am on Saturday morning asking if we could open presents. So we got up and read about the birth of Jesus, sang "Happy Birthday Jesus" and ran downstairs to open stockings. After the stockings we went up to bonus room to open gifts from Daddy and Mommy. The kids loved their gifts. They got a train table to play with together and then Aubrey got a princess bike and Eli got the cozy coupe fire truck. Of all the gifts, Eli's favorite was the chapstick that he got in his stocking...who knew something so small could make a child so happy! Aubrey loved her bike of course, and has been riding around the house ever since. We played all afternoon with the new toys while daddy took a nap and then we celebrated Scott's birthday that night with friends. Talk about a busy but wonderful day!

Scott's Birthday

For Scott's birthday we met some friends at Outback and then came back to our house to play games and eat dessert. We took a few cute pics to remember the fun. We also got a few cute pics of the kids eating an Arby's ham and cheddar melt after church on Sunday and then playing with some of their new toys they got for Christmas! Oh yeah, there is a silly pic of Eli wearing Sissy's hair bow...he would be a pretty little girl.

Aubrey's First Chior Performance

Last night, Aubrey and her class performed their first chior "musical". They performed the songs in their chior room for the parents since they are a little too young to sing in church yet and sang seven songs which was quite impressive for three and four year olds. I was not sure how Aubrey would do performing in front of lots of people but she sang every word to every song, did all the actions and played her instruments right on que. She did great and it was so fun to watch. We were proud parents! I have also posted a couple pics we took before our Christmas party on Saturday and a couple pics of a house we went to see with tons of Christmas lights. We have had so much fun celebrating this Christmas season!

Christmas Decor

This is our Christmas decorations. We had so much fun decorating the house for Christmas, especially since Aunt Sara was here to help us. We did a snowman tree in the dining room to match the snowman dishes. I added Christmas scrapbook paper to an old wooden window to sit on the mantel, which I really love. It is so fun to have a mantel to hang stocking on this Christmas! Aubrey especially likes the cookie cutter tree in the kitchen because she can plug it in every morning. Here is a really cute pic of Aubrey wearing her Christmas pjs a little early.
